What is the String Sight?
The Patented String Sight is an accessory that attaches to the bow string that uses a front pivot point shooting mechanism. This allows the archer to shoot more distances while still only using ONE pin. This means a clear sight window and fewer distractions from changing sight pins.
Will the String Sight fit on my bow?
Yes. The String Sight is universal, so it will fit on any bow on the market.
How many markers come with the String Sight?
The String Sight comes with 3 markers, extra wrapping string, and step by step directions.
Do you change anchor points?
Yes. The String Sight works backwards from all other sights. You focus on one pin and place your nose on an easy to find anchor point. To change distances, rotate the back of the bow down or up to a different marker. All 3 of the markers have a metal pin in the bodies for precise anchor point placement.
You want to do your routine techniques when you first draw your bow back, starting at the lowest marker. Once you go over your “check list” in your mind, then adjust to the proper marker.
Using this shooting method will dramatically improve your technique because you will naturally learn a constant head tilt, and improved form.
Many archers believe that it is challenging to find a good consistent anchor point. The String Sight gives you specific and precise anchor points, so there is no more challenge of “perfecting the anchor point”.
Once the String Sight is sighted in, will they ever come loose?
No. The design of the String Sight prevents it from coming loose. But after the String Sight is sighted in, you wrap the String Sight with the extra string that comes with the packet. This prevents the markers from moving out of place.
Will the String Sight make me a better shooter?
Any seasoned archer will tell you that if you don’t have a good anchor point, then your shots will be off. Well it is difficult to find a good anchor point when your nose is touching the string or your lip is on a kisser. The bow string feels the same on your nose no matter where you touch it, so there’s no telling that you may be looking through a peep and your nose is a ¼” off of where it is suppose to be. This situation will change your shot dramatically. And with using a kisser, the plastic touching your mouth can move your lips in any direction very easily. Even the slightest movement effects the placement of your shot.
The String Sight solves both these problems because it gives you a very solid and precise anchor point which is a small metal pin that is placed on the tip of your nose. (a solid facial feature) Solid and easy-to-find anchor points touching a solid facial feature leads to better accuracy and smaller groups for all archers.
Do you need a peep sight?
NO!! When using the String Sight the archer lines the bow string up with the inside of the bow body next to the sight at full draw. This gives you a completely clear sight window with a consistent feature to line the bow string up with each time. Because the String Sight doesn’t require a peep sight, the visibility in low light situations is much clearer.
Will the Behr Range Finder fit on my sight?
Yes, the Behr Range Finder is made of VELCRO®, so it will strap around any sight.
How does the Behr Range Finder work?
The Behr Range Finder has 2 vertical bars that are compared to a common physical feature on all whitetail deer; the distance between the legs. There is a small difference between the distance between a fawns legs and a mature whitetail, but it is not enough to throw off the Behr Range Finder. For example, the difference between the way a 30 and 40 yard shot look on the Behr Range Finder is about 8 – 10 inches on the deer’s body, so a few inches of distance between the legs will not affect the yard judgment.
If the bars line up inside the deer’s legs, it is 20 yards away.
If the bars line up directly centered with the deer’s legs, it is 30 yards away.
And if the bars line up on the outside edge of the deer’s legs, it is 40 yards away.
